🪨 Soil: Clay / clay-loam (puddled)

Alternate wetting and drying (fill, let it dry, refill) saves a lot of water without losing yield.
Do not burn the straw — mix it in or bale it for better soil and extra income.
Direct-seeded rice (DSR) saves cost and water where the land is level.
Do not use too much urea — it invites pests, disease and lodging.
Drain the field on time before harvest for easier cutting and cleaner grain.
