🪨 Soil: Black / medium-deep soil

Pink bollworm is the biggest risk — uproot and burn the stalks right after the last picking.
Keep picked cotton free of leaves and damp for top grade and price.
Pick in stages and store dry to catch better rates through the season.
Keep the non-Bt refuge border — it slows resistance and keeps Bt working.
Do not over-feed nitrogen — lush plants drop bolls and pull in pests.
